Ice therapy certainly has its therapeutic value. Ice can be extremely effective on inflamed tissue, even if heat is what feel better. I’ve posted on this subject before and still find myself suggesting ice over heat almost two to one with my clients. I was happy to see that Your Natural Remedies gave some great advice when it comes to creating you own ready-to-use ice packs. They’ve got some unique, somewhat eclectic tips on a variety of subjects. Below is how to create no-fail cold applications:

I do not know about you but I have those ice packs and those blue gel ice packs in my freezer and they are just as hard as a rock and you can never bend it for your knee or your elbow because they are just so hard! So here is a way you can make your own. Get a big and strong plastic bag that is recyclable. Put 1 cup of water in it and 1/3 cup of rubbing alcohol in it and leave it in the freezer. The next time you need it it will be freezing cold but you will have it formable because it will be nice and slushy.
